Here are some examples of local organizations who have worked on achieving Life On Land goal:
1. "The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture initiative"
The Ministry manages the Protected Areas Network as part of an ambitious system of protected areas in the Kingdom aimed at protecting 103 land and marine areas, representing about 10% of the Kingdom’s area, which are allocated to the development of renewable natural resources for the benefit of mankind. The declared protected areas include 15 areas that occupy 4% of the Kingdom’s area, which are considered natural habitats and genetic banks for terrestrial and marine biodiversity in the Kingdom.
2. "Riyadh Municipality Environmental Program"
“Tree for Every Building” initiative.
The Riyadh Municipality seeks to implement the initiative to increase the rate of afforestation, increase the per capita green area, increase the number of trees and take care of them.
